Custom Fleet achieves disability confident recruiter status
Building an inclusive future
At Custom Fleet, we believe that inclusivity begins before you walk through our doors. We’re committed creating a barrier-free, inclusive candidate experience where everyone can show their potential.
As part of this commitment, we are proud to have joined the Australian Disability Network.

By obtaining Disability Confident Recruiter status, we’ve strengthened our recruitment process with inclusive hiring practices and expanded our ability to attract diverse talent, including those with disability.
Through this process, we reviewed every stage of the recruitment process, making accessibility a fundamental part of the candidate journey.
Key improvements we’ve implemented include:
- Enhancing our digital accessibility by updating our careers website to meet WCAG 2.1AA standards.
- Providing disability confidence training to our Talent Acquisition Team, equipping them with the knowledge and awareness needed to support an inclusive recruitment experience.
- Asking all candidates if they require adjustments to the recruitment process from the job ad through to the final interview
- Clearly separating role requirements into Essential and Other, so candidates understand what’s truly required
- Updating position descriptions, interview guides and other recruitment resources into accessible formats
- Revising job ads and phone screen guides to ask about access features and barriers at interview locations
Becoming a Disability Confident Recruiter marks an important step in our inclusion journey.
We are committed to building on this status by embedding accessibility and equity at every stage of recruitment and beyond.
Inclusion is not a destination, but a continuous journey we proudly embrace at Custom Fleet.
