We take the hassle out of vehicle registration
Managing registration is essential to maintaining compliance and avoiding disruption. Custom Fleet takes the admin burden off your business, ensuring every vehicle remains registered, compliant and ready for the road. Whether you’ve moved interstate, received a renewal notice, or need to confirm registration status, we provide structured, end-to-end support to keep your fleet operating without disruption. Vehicle registration in Australia includes compulsory motor injury insurance, commonly referred to as CTP or state-based schemes. This provides cover for personal injury liability in the event of a motor vehicle accident. We help ensure registration and CTP obligations are managed accurately and on time, reducing compliance risk and keeping vehicles road-ready.
Registration expiry dates can be confirmed through Fleet Office or via the relevant state authority website:

Our structured approach reduces administrative burden and ensures nothing is missed:
Automatic renewals Vehicle registrations are typically renewed approximately four weeks prior to expiry.
Home or business address renewals Where vehicles are registered to a specific address, we request the renewal notice to complete the process.
Inspection reminders Where inspections are required, we provide reminders and follow up until completion, then arrange payment.
End-of-lease vehicles Registrations are only renewed where vehicles are being retained beyond the lease term.

Vehicles must not be driven while unregistered.
If this occurs, contact your Account Manager immediately. We will prioritise re-registration to minimise disruption and restore compliance.
Registration dates can be aligned in some cases, although this is not always the most effective approach.
We recommend reviewing options with your Account Manager to determine the best structure for your fleet.
Registration labels are no longer required for most standard vehicles.
Heavy vehicles may still require labels, which will be issued and forwarded when received from the relevant authority.
Registration documentation
If vehicles are registered in our name, documentation is retained on your behalf.
If registered in your name, we request a copy of registration documents to maintain accurate records.
If vehicles need to be re-registered in another state, notify us as early as possible.
We’ll provide you with a transfer pack and guide you through the process. Once registration is completed, updated documentation should be provided so records can be updated in Fleet Office.
For registration-related queries, contact your Account Manager. Our registrations team will coordinate the process to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
Email our Sales team to discuss your fleet and find out how we can help you.
