We’re extremely excited to announce that Custom Fleet has been awarded Bronze Level Certification as part of the Australian Workplace Equality (AWEI) LGBT Inclusion Awards.
This award is an important milestone achievement as we continue to level up our leadership, policies, practices, and ways of working to create a safe and inclusive workplace for the LGBTQI+ community to belong.

This recognition galvanises our commitment to continually enhance our culture of belonging and deliver against the objectives in our Diversity Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Strategy.
The AWEI sets clear criteria for what progressive inclusion looks like in the workplace for the LGBTQI+ community.
The Pride workstream of our Diversity Network, called Intersection, has worked with passion to implement initiatives and changes to achieve our Bronze award.
The development of an industry leading Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Strategy
A new Parental Leave Policy that applies to LGBTQI+ crew and families which includes surrogacy, adoption and foster/guardianship
Implementation of a Gender Inclusion and Affirmation Leave Policy
Development of an LGBTQI+ Inclusive Language Guide
Development of LGBTQI+ Ally Guide
Training for LGBTQI+ Grievance Officers within Custom Fleet
Identified LGBTQI+ Confidential Contacts
Delivered Pride in Diversity’s Awareness Training
Sponsored external LGBTQI+ community events
We are so proud of their hard work and their achievements. Thank you for helping Custom Fleet achieve this recognition.
The Pride team have consistently delivered against the plan set out in our DEIB Strategy and are making our workplace a better place for all, as is our entire Intersection crew!
At Custom Fleet, we want our people to feel comfortable to bring their whole selves to work – to feel safe and be able to thrive, no matter who they are.
That’s why we’re continuing our work with Pride in Diversity and will launch more inclusive initiatives in-line with our goal to win an AWEI Gold award at our next submission opportunity in January 2024.
While all our work with Pride in Diversity and AWEI applies to our entire crew across ANZ, we will look to achieve the Rainbow Tick endorsement specific to NZ in 2024.
